With the ability to view live footage through your smartphone, tablet or computer, this Home Guard CCTV kit will offer you peace of mind, wherever you are in the world. The kit itself is designed specifically for use & installation by those with no prior experience of CCTV systems & just about everything you need to get started is contained in the box. If you need additional help then don&8217;t worry, our customer service team is ready & able to assist; simply look us up at storageoptions.com/support & we&8217;ll give you all the help you need. Your CCTV Questions Answered What is this kit? This kit contains just about everything you need to install a CCTV system in your home or business. It contains a number of cameras that can be connected to the digital video recorder to capture full colour, high quality video, 24 hours a day, day or night, indoors or outdoors. What else will I need to use the kit? There are a few things that you will need in addition to what&8217;s included: Something to view the footage on: Such as your existing TV or a computer monitor. A connecting cable is supplied, but you might need to buy a separate one specifically for your type of monitor or TV. Internet access at the location you intend to install the cameras & DVR: If you want to remotely view footage on your computer, tablet or smartphone. You&8217;ll also need a network cable of sufficient length to connect the DVR to your internet router. Some equipment for installation: A drill, drill bits, screwdriver, ladders to reach high places & other equipment to ensure your cabling from the cameras is tidy. Can I add more than 2 cameras to the system? Yes, the DVR in this kit can connect & record up to 4 cameras simultaneously. Spare cameras are available from your retailer or storageoptions.com. How long will the system record for? The precise answer depends on how the system is configured, how many cameras are recording at once & the size of the hard drive installed in your kit. The table below gives a representative guide as to how many days your system should record for, based on a typical setup. Hard Disk Size No. Of Cameras Recording table.tableizer-table. tableizer-table td. tableizer-table th Hard Disk Size No. Of Cameras Recording 12345678 500GB10050332520171413 1TB200100675040332925 2TB40020013310080675750 A sticker on the front of the box identifies the size of the hard disk included in this kit What happens when the hard disk is full? Will the system stop recording? By default, the digital video recorder is set to record continuously so that once the disk becomes full it starts recording over the oldest footage. In this way the system would, by default, never stop recording & always hold the most recent set of footage. See above for the approximate number of days of recording that the system can hold at any one time. How can I copy footage from the system, if I need to? Footage can be copied very easily using the DVR&8217;s USB (Universal Serial Bus) port; simply copy onto a USB (Universal Serial Bus) Flash device or USB (Universal Serial Bus) hard drive. The footage is recorded in a standard format that can be viewed on most computers & uploaded / shared as required. Is there a warranty on this kit? You can contact our customer service team via storageoptions.com/support if you need help or warranty assistance. This kit is backed by a 12 month warranty in the unlikely event of something going wrong. Hard Disk Size No. Of Cameras Recording table.tableizer-table. tableizer-table td. tableizer-table th Hard Disk SizeNo. Of Cameras Recording 1234 500GB100503325 1TB2001006750 2TB400200133100 A sticker on the front of the box identifies the size of the hard disk included in this kit What happens when the hard disk is full?
