- a superb off road course with a range of challenging obstacles. Then, with the adrenaline still buzzing, try out two purpose-built rally stages, with loose gravel & tarmac surfaces, where youll experience the power & agility of the latest Subaru WRX rally car
- can you keep it in a straight line? Programme Your experience will begin with a welcome, introduction & briefing on 4x 4 driving techniques. This is followed by some demonstration laps by a qualified 4x 4 instructor before having a go yourself. You will be driving a specially prepared vehicle over & through a range of difficult obstacles. Next comes a safety briefing & introduction to rally driving techniques. Then you will drive either a Subaru WRX or a Mitsubishi Evo rally car on the rally stage. There is no vehicle on earth to match the extraordinary power of the Defender; it will do whatever you ask of it & more. Silverstones challenging purpose built off-road course combines steep gradients, big drops & deep water, demanding your full attention as you navigate a tricky obstacle course. It may be slower than walking pace at times, but precision handling & rock solid nerves are definitely required. Programme You will begin your experience with an in car safety briefing accompanied by a demonstration lap by your instructor. Then its into the driving seat as you put your new found skills to the test. You may also bring two passengers to ride with you in the car. Please note, there is an option to purchase damage waiver insurance on the day of your experience. In the event of an accident the damage waiver will cover all or part of the damage caused to the vehicle. However this will not cover damage caused by reckless or negligent driving. If youre not interested in bombing around a track in a Ferrari then why not try your hand at the skillful sport of off-roading. There is nothing like riding up an impossibly steep hill & finding all you can see out of the front window is sky. During the experience you can expect to learn how to tackle steep inclines, use the engine to keep a constant speed down hills & see just how a big off roader with big grippy tyres can go just about anywhere. After a short, informative briefing session, you will drive a 4x 4 vehicle around steep-sided valleys. Then you will move on to drive a fully caged & modified Land Rover 90 Defender on a Jungle run. Finally, it will be time to take one of the purpose-built fully caged 4x 4 trials buggies over a course too challenging for a standard-bodied 4x 4 vehicle. The minimum age is 16 years. This is a great opportunity for you & your guest to push your driving skills to the limit but with extremely different modes of transport. Sit back & strap yourself in for three exhilarating rides that will challenge you both. You will take part in a three hour event where you’ll drive off road rage buggies, Segways & even a 4 x 4 blindfolded! Using Bocart Off Road Rage buggies you’ll race around the rough circuit reaching speeds of up to 30mph. These buggies are simple to operate with only two pedals, one for acceleration & the other for breaking. If the weather is wet & muddy, not to fear as these buggies are great fun in all weather conditions! The Segways will test your balance as you learn to master going forwards, backwards & round bends in the training paddock. Taught by your expert you will learn how to control them before hitting the off road circuit where you will be faced with bumps & obstacles that will really show you what these vehicles can do. Finally the 4 x 4 drive is a real test of communication between the driver & the navigator as you manoeuvre this vehicle around a designated course completely blindfolded, with only the help of your passenger to guide you around the course, telling you when to break & accelerate! This will certainly get your heart pumping in a drive you will never forget! Upon arrival you will be greeted by your expert driving instructors where you will then be put into one of three groups with the other participants on the day. You will then rotate around the three different challenges spending 1 hour with each vehicle. You will receive full tuition & all the necessary equipment for your multi drive.
