The Zy XEL NWA5550 is an Outdoor Dual-Band Wireless Access Point designed for enterprise environments & to be used with the Zy XEL NXC5200 Wireless LAN Controller. The Simultaneous Dual-Band feature of this Zy XEL NWA5550 utilises a multiple-antenna system to take advantage of the multi-path effect in RF implementations by transmitting on the 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz frequencies, rather than fighting against it as conventional 2.4 Ghz 802.11 Access Points do. The resulting improvements in both range & capacity provide substantially more reliable signal quality & greater bandwidth that are critical to SMB deployments.
