Cast iron supports mean it’s built to last. With a rock solid tempered glass base & durable cast iron pan supports, the T62R36S1 can literally take anything you throw at it. With 4 gas burners, including a double flame wok burner, there’s a spot for all your pans large & small. The double ring burner at the back throws out 3.3k W of heat (most gas hobs only give out 2k W) so it's great if you’re cooking with huge pans. Using the T62R36S1 couldn’t be easier. Each burner has its own knob at the front of the hob & these are used to ignite the gas too. There's no need to fiddle around with extra ignition buttons like you find on a lot of hobs
- just turn the dial & the gas auto ignites. The controls are carefully thought out too. They're bevelled & oval. That may seem unimportant but the shape makes them easy to grip & turn, even with wet hands. Really useful if you’re a creative (messy) chef. If you’ve just used the searing wok burner, it’s likely that the cast iron supports will be too hot to touch. To save burning your fingers, the T62R36S1 comes with warning lights to let you know that the hob’s still hot. A useful safety feature to have in any kitchen. & because you don’t always need searing heat, there’s an economy burner. The small ring at the front on the right hand side is ideal for those dishes that need a delicate heat like custard, as well as slow cooked meals like stews. You still get 1k W of power out of it so it’s not timid by any means. Use it for sauces, puddings, & soups.
