Includes:: three flights by aero tow, course notes, all tuition, & a months club membership (giving you reduced rates for flying) so you can return for more if you wish! Please note that the precise number of flights & the duration of flights may vary according to the weather conditions. Your flights are likely to be all together, either in the morning or the afternoon, but the club encourages you to spend the full day there so that you can really get involved. Duration Youll spend about half a day gliding, although you are welcome to stay at the centre all day. Group Itll just be you & the instructor. Spectators Youre welcome to bring family & friends to watch you take to the sky. Fitness Maximum weight 102kg (16 stone), maximum height 1.93m (6ft 4). Let us introduce you to the wonderful sport of gliding. Its a fantastic chance to experience the excitement of powerless flight & to take in the wonderful scenery unfolding below you. After a pre-flight briefing, you will be strapped into the glider with your instructor. The glider is attached to a winch by a cable, & within a few moments you will be airborne! Once the cable is released you will search out some thermals & then gently glide back down to earth. Time in the air varies depending on the conditions, typically from a few minutes up to 10-15 minutes. Please note, the height from the winch varies between 1000ft & 1500ft. The minimum age is 15 years old, under 18s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The maximum weight for participants is 102kg (16 stones) & the maximum height for participants is 1.93m (6ft 4in).
