As Cool As Ice The P-48C also features a thermal overload protector which stops the shredder temporarily when it senses it is getting too hot. Once activated, the shredder will shut down & a red light will advise you that this safety protector has activated. No Sticky Situations Built within the safety lock switch is a sheet capacity gauge which is measured to the cutter tolerance. This helps prevent paper jams by ensuring the cutters are not overwhelmed. Should the cutters ever become overwhelmed the P-48C features an electronic reverse mode to help remove the excess paper.
