The in-built noise filter also ensures that you do not experience a sudden drop of network speed when a high power consuming electrical device is being used. 500 Mbps Home Plug AV Standard & IGMP Support The Edimax HP-5102AC not only complies with the Home Plug AV standard but also supports IGMP managed multicast streams. The HP-5102AC can transmit network data over existing electrical wires at speeds of up to 500 Mbps. It is also backward compatible with the 200 Mbps Home Plug AV standard & has a transmission range of up to 300 meters. IGMP can be used for online gaming & video streaming applications, & allows for more efficient use of network resources. Compatible with Home Plug 1.0 & 1.0 Turbo Devices The HP-5102AC is designed to ensure efficient coexistence with Home Plug 1.0 & 1.0 Turbo devices, providing guaranteed Qo S to all devices present in a heterogeneous powerline network. In such an architecture, the HP-5102AC & other Home Plug 1.0 stations share the CSMA/CA allocations, thus providing fair access to Home Plug 1.0 stations based on traffic priority.
