You may have seen nature programmes on television that show picturesque landscapes in a faraway land & you wish you could go there. Well these sorts of places are much closer to home than you might think. The Lake District is one of the most beautiful places in England & houses Scafell Pike, which at 978 metres (3, 209 feet), it is the highest mountain in Engl&. There is also the Snowdonia National Park where you can see some beautiful greens & a fantastic mountain landscape made up from Cader Idris Aran & the Berwyns. How about the Brecon Beacon National Park. From its remote wilderness, contrasting with sheltered ancient woodlands, reservoirs, breathtaking waterfalls, caves & windswept uplands, theres something for everyone. Either of these places will make you realise what a beautiful country we live in. Programme The typical programme will vary at each location but generally your day will begin with a meeting with your guide & youll be given an introduction to the day. The duration of the walk is five to six hours & you will be expected to carry your own belongings. Please note whilst this activity is dependent on appropriate weather conditions, if the planned walk is not suitable an alternative will be offered except in extreme weather, depending on location. Duration This experience will last a full day. Group There will be other people there on the day. Spectators Unfortunately you cannot bring spectators to watch. Fitness A good/high level of fitness is required for this experience. A medical form may need to be completed. Experience There are no qualifications required. Minimum Age The minimum age is 8 years.
