Users can quickly send documents to various destinations across the network, including sending to multiple destinations at once. With a newly designed feed roller mechanism & a straight through paper path users can reliably scan mixed document types, from thick/thin paper, card, long documents 1m in length, A3 size (in Folio mode) & embossed card. Convenient remote management The Scan Front 330 is simple to setup, & manage & helps reduce IT costs. Adding a scanner to the network requires no additional hardware or software, & can be run without the need to install server software. IT managers can remotely update, backup, & restore multiple devices through a simple web browser, or simultaneously with the Scan Front Administration Tool. Robust security Scan Front 330 incorporates a robust set of advanced security features enabling users to have full-control over access, management & distribution of information. These include device identification login & password verification & automatic logout after a period of inactivity. User-specific restrictions & user activity monitoring can be centrally administered, & secure document sending is achieved with PDF encryption & password protection, for secure viewing, editing & printing. The intuitive, high-definition 8.4 inch colour touch screen & job buttons that can be personalized ensure swift & accurate file distribution to versatile locations, such as email, network folder, FTP, USB (Universal Serial Bus), fax & print. Useful time-saving features include the email-me function for users to send documents quickly to their own email address, & also ad-hoc fax where fax destination details can be entered at the time of scan. Seamless integration Integrating into business applications can be made seamless. Metadata index files (CSV or XML format) can be transferred with every scan & this information can also be used for image file naming – allowing easier classification into back office systems. In addition, SDK’s are available for developers, including a web-based version that enables the Scan Front software to run off a separate web/cloud server.
