If you are looking for a budget priced laptop that delivers plenty of bang for your buck the Asus x552CL should be right at the top of your list. Unfortunately being labelled as a ‘budget laptop’ can conjure up images of Del Boy and cheap Soviet Bloc era knock-offs. But the X552CL is a pucker bit of kit and even Del would soon be reaching for the folding stuff if he had a chance of owning this machine. But enough of the Peckham palaver. Let’s have a serious look at this 15.6” laptop from Asus. Designed For Success You wouldn’t expect a MacBook Air style silhouette for this price but the Asus X552Cl does have a pleasingly slim profile. And even with the built in DVD it still only weighs 2.15kg. Making it extremely portable and ideal for taking with you wherever
you go. X552CL Performance The Intel i3 core processor, graphics card and dynamic memory make this a fast and highly responsive machine. Perfect for work, study or home use. And, with the 64-bit Windows 8 operating system, it is so easy to multitask and manage your workload. Asus have also included two USB 3.0 ports on this machine. This makes data transfer around ten times faster than with standard USB 2.0 ports. Transfer movies in seconds rather than in minutes. Another feature that we will all appreciate is the two second restart from standby. No more sitting around stamping your foot in frustration while you wait for the laptop to wake. Gaming On A Budget Unlike other laptops in this price range the Asus X552CL has a good graphics card already installed. With the nVidia GT710M on
