Enjoy a relaxed & informative cookery demonstration given by the Heart of England Fine Food’s (HEFF) chef in the TASTE kitchen. Following the demonstration, indulge in a scrumptious afternoon tea, adding a unique spin on the British tradition. Afternoon tea has been a British institution since Anna Maria Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, asked her footman to bring her a pot of tea & light refreshments one afternoon in 1840. The ritual caught on & afternoon tea became the corner stone of high society dining. These days taking tea as a light afternoon meal has become much more accessible, but has not lost a crumb of its charm. On arrival you will be greeted by the HEFF chef who will talk you through the cookery demonstration itinerary. Some examples include traditional afternoon tea, preserves, party food & seasonal recipes. To follow you will then be treated to a delicious afternoon tea, which will typically include a selection of freshly made sandwiches, delicious scones with cream & jam, & either fine pastries or cakes of the day. Please check themes & dates at the time of booking as these may vary throughout the year. The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old. Shropshire
