Qlogic 8gb Fibre Channel Expansion Card (ciov) Host Bus Adapter
CIOv (Combination I/O connection for vertical switch bays) cards provide I/O connection to vertically oriented I/O switch module bays in IBM BladeCenter H, S, and E chassis and can be used in combination with CFFh cards (Combination form factor adapters for BladeCenter H horizontal switch bays). The Emulex and QLogic 8 Gb Fiber Channel Expansion Cards (CIOv) for IBM BladeCenter enable high-speed access for IBM blade servers to connect to a Fiber Channel Storage Area Network (SAN). Additionally, each adapter features two ports from the blade server to the Fiber Channel switch, helping provide constant access to the SAN data.
