i Twin Secure Box seamlessly encrypts files/folders & puts them in your Dropbox account. It is drag-&-drop simple, just like Dropbox, & it integrates smoothly with the Dropbox usage-experience on your Mac & Windows computers. When you use i Twin Secure Box, it automatically: puts the encrypted versions of your Secure Box files into your Dropbox folder hides the names of files & folders in the process & protects the integrity of uploaded data. Any file/folder addition/deletion will be detected. Whenever you plug in one of your i Twin keys, a Secure Box folder opens up, making your secure files available. You can open & work on those files. You can drag or copy new files into this Secure Box folder. Whenever you unplug the i Twin device key, the Secure Box folder disappears. Note that you can simultaneously use your Dropbox account for uploading non-encrypted files, as usual. These should be put in the Dropbox folder directly. We supply you with an i Twin, which comprises two identical halves. The first time you use it, you connect the two halves together & you plug the pair into a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on your computer. The device is initialized & creates a unique 256-bit crypto key, which is remembered by both halves. You then physically separate the two halves, & going forward, each half can be used as a "key" to access your Secure Box data. We suggest you keep one of the halves in a safe place as a backup key. Each time you plug your Secure Box key into your computer, it automatically opens a Secure Box folder. When you copy/drag a file or folder into the Secure Box folder, we use the crypto key from your i Twin device to separately encrypt each file before putting it in your Dropbox folder to be synchronized to the cloud. We use the same key for decryption. When your Secure Box key is plugged in, all your secure files are visible & can be accessed within the Secure Box folder. When you unplug the key, the Secure Box folder automatically closes, & only the encrypted versions of the files remain in Dropbox. Secure Box uses AES 256-bit encryption, in AES-GCM mode. This mode provides both authenticated encryption & data integrity. The files would appear as gibberish to anyone without your Secure Box key. You can be assured that your files are being kept safely & privately while in the cloud. Since both halves of your i Twin carry your unique crypto key & only these halves know the key, we strongly suggest that you keep one half in a safe place, as a backup key, in case your primary key is ever lost. It will be impossible to access your i Twin Secure Box data if you lose both keys. You likely already use cloud storage or know people who do. It's a great way to store data & access it on-the-go. Then again people are concerned about the security of their data when it leaves their personal computer. We want everyone who uses Dropbox on their computers to be even more assured about the security of their data, while making use of Dropbox's wonderful features for on-the-go access. With i Twin Secure Box, that is now possible. Our goal was to create a simple & intuitive way to add stronger security to cloud storage, using physical keys just as you would have for a traditional lock. That is what we have created. i Twin Secure Box
