Strips can be used in a variety of ways, producing a much narrower band of light when compared to the Octobox. The Strip is a useful tool for creating side lighting for full length fashion or portraits. It can be used on a boom arm for a soft hair light. By removing the internal & external baffles high contrast lighting can be achieved for dramatic images when combined with any other Interfit softboxes. or it can be used as a large reflector creating a special illumination effect. (Some Interfit Stellar Halogen Kits feature Strip Boxes). Maximum Light loss=1 stop with both baffles inserted. Except SLBR510/612 which are 1.1 stops. The strip softbox can be rotated on its speed ring to provide a vertical or horizontal beam of light from a Interfit, or other brand of flash head or tungsten light. To fit a softbox to a head you will need to know the fitting type. If it is an intermit head it is likely to be the ASA1000 ring (S Type Fitting).
