The stand included in the package allows the reader to be used in hands-free mode. If placed correctly in the st&, the reader beeps & automatically switches to hands-free mode. The green spot remains on to show the operator where to position the code under the Heron for quick & intuitive reading. As a result, Heron is effective as a h&-held reader & presentation scanner. The Heron also provides full connectivity. Three models are available with different interface sets. The standard D130 is multi-interface model (RS232, USB (Universal Serial Bus), WEDGE & WAND). In addition, Heron reads Reduced Space Symbologies (RSS), an emerging symbology that can be printed on a smaller label, which meets emerging market needs for a greater amount of data on a symbol guaranteeing investment protection.
