All sensors experience dust contamination & a gradual build up of hard to remove greasy spots. These spots can only be removed effectively by using a wet cleaning method. While this is a highly effective technique, rubbing the sensor does expose the surface to the risk of scratching from abrasive dust particles. The first ever micro fibre sensor wipe! DUST-CLOTH MF&8217;s are made from a very soft weave of micro fibre cloth that has been tested repeatedly not to scratch sensor filters or their coatings. The main benefit to these micro fibre wipes is that they are designed not to produce loose fibres. If youve ever cleaned with non woven wipes and/or swabs then you know what we are talking about. The sides of the wipes are heat sealed so fibres cant break free. Seeing that when wrapped you are only using the centre part of the wipe, the sealed edge will not come close to the sensor filter. The Dust-Cloth MF wipes are also more absorbent than regular non-woven wipes which helps to reduce excess cleaning fluid escaping the wipe & seeping under the sensor filter frame.
