Thanks to its direct-touch heatpipe base, unique fin stack design & a PWM controlled 120mm fan, the Kelveros achieves an optimal balance between outstanding cooling performance & quiet operation. Direct Touch Technology The base of the coolers uses direct-touch heatpipe technology (which Reeven call Heat pipe Direct Contact Solution or H.D.C.S) that allows for a more efficient copper contact between the base of the cooler & the top of the processor. The Kelveros brings this concept of direct contact cooling to the next level by further improving heat transfer. Unique Fin Structure The sixty aluminium fins form a unique (almost bat-like) shape which helps to improve the heat dissipation. They are thicker than those found on most other coolers & the top fin has the Reeven name imprinted in the centre along with capped heatpipes, all of which provide a high quality finish for the cooler. Underneath the cooler, the 37mm gap between the fins & the base ensures that there is ample room for all but the tallest memory modules. Adjustable Fan Control The Reeven Coldwing 120mm PWM fan is fitted with a simple but highly effective fan controller that is attached to a PCI bracket. For greater adjustment users can change the PWM bandwidth manually by sliding the switch on the PCI bracket between the Low & High settings. This allows the fan to be optimised for quiet operation or highest performance depending on the users preference but the PWM function is still maintained as the general feature. Specifications
