Blue's Cloud Production Bundle for audio back-up & sharing online The Focus Control provides two different usage modes: the Normal mode (off position) providing increased low frequency sensitivity for recordings with great impact & definition, along with the Focus mode (on position) for even greater clarity & detail. The Focus Control functions differently than a standard high-pass or low-pass filter– it changes the input driver of the capsule rather than the signal output of the microphone circuit. This avoids coloring or degrading the signal quality coming out of the Spark microphone like low or high pass filters can. Specifically, the Focus Control alters the voltage loading of the capsule, which alters the capsule's dynamic frequency response, changing the capsule's behavior in a way that's more nuanced than a standard filter acting on a microphone's output. The result is a change to Spark's frequency response curve as well as the dynamic properties of the capsule (response to transients), providing two different mic characteristics. Spark Digital works with most all popular i OS Recording Apps Spark Digital is instantly recognized for use with any audio or video application. To fully benefit from the quality Spark Digital offers, we recommend using a high-quality recording app like one of those listed below, since Apple's built-in Voice Memos app records at a lower bit rate.

The Yeti features tools & recording capabilities usually requiring multiple microphones & devices Key Features Power Required/ Consumption: 5V 500m A (USB) 4V DC (Analogue) Polar Patterns: Cardioid, Bidirectional, Omnidirectional, Stereo Frequency Responce: 20 Hz – 20k Hz Weight: (microphone) 1.2 lbs/0.55kg (stand) 2.2 lbs/1kg Dimensions: 12 x 12.5 x 29.5 cm (extended in stand) Ultimate USB (Universal Serial Bus) mic for professional recording The Yeti is one of the most advanced & versatile multi-pattern USB (Universal Serial Bus) microphones available anywhere. Combining three capsules & four different pattern settings, the Yeti is an ultimate tool for creating amazing recordings, directly to your computer. With exceptional sound & performance, the Yeti can capture anything with a clarity & ease unheard of in a USB (Universal Serial Bus) microphone. The Yeti features Blues innovative triple capsule array, allowing for recording in stereo or your choice of three unique patterns, including cardioid, omnidirectional, & bidirectional, giving you recording capabilities usually requiring multiple microphones. The Yeti utilizes a high quality analog-to-digital converter to send incredible audio fidelity directly into your computer, a built-in headphone amplifier for zero-latency monitoring, & simple controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, & microphone gain located directly on the microphone. There are no drivers to install
- simply plug the Yeti into your PC or Mac, load up your favorite recording software, & record something amazing. Legendary Features The legend of the Yeti continues with the most advanced & versatile multi-pattern USB (Universal Serial Bus) microphone roaming the wild today. The Yeti features tools & recording capabilities usually requiring multiple microphones & devices, all with the simplicity of a plug n play USB (Universal Serial Bus) microphone. 4 settings. Endless possibilities You can quickly select from each of Yetis four pattern settings (stereo, cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional) by simply rotating the pattern selector knob. The chart below shows each patterns symbol, sound source direction, & suggested recording applications. Stereo The Stereo mode is great for capturing a realistic stereo image. To start, point the microphone at the sound source that you want to record (the "front" of the microphone is the side of the microphone with the Blue Microphones Logo). Depending on the instrument and/or sound that you want to achieve, place the grill of the microphone anywhere from 2 inches to several feet in front of the sound source. By centering the sound source, you will get equal amounts of signal in both the left & right channels. If you want a little more of the signal in the right channel, move the sound source a little to the right side of the mic (as if one is behind the microphone), & if you want a little more of the signal in the left channel, move the sound source to the left (as if you are behind the microphone). Alternatively, you can record everything as centered as possible, & easily adjust the position when youre mixing the recording. If you want the sound in the right or left channel only, you should try using the cardioid, bidirectional or the omnidirectional setting, & use your software to hard-pan the sound to the left or the right. Cardiod Cardioid is the most commonly used mode & can be useful in most any situation. If you are recording vocals, a podcast, or a voiceover, cardioid is likely your best choice. When recording in cardioid, sound directly in front of the microphone is picked up while the sound at the rear & sides of the microphone is not picked up. Therefore, you will want to arrange the source directly in front of the microphone. Cardioid will deliver the most direct, rich sound, but will not offer as much airiness or presence as the other recording modes. Omnidirectional Omnidirectional means that the microphone picks up sound equally from all directions. This setting is perfect for recording a group of musicians all playing at the same time, recording a conversation between multiple parties around a room, a conference call, or any other situations where you want to capture the ambience of being there. Because sound is picked up from all directions in this mode, the orientation of the microphone isnt crucial, but as a good rule of thumb, start by orienting the front of the microphone at the primary sound source you wish to record. Bidirectional Bidirectional means that the microphone picks up sound at the front & rear of the microphone, while the sounds to the sides are "rejected", or not picked up. The bidirectional setting is very useful in achieving a nuanced, pleasant sound when recording musical instruments, & is perfect for recording an interview with two or more guests. By placing the microphone between two or more subjects (front of microphone facing one source, rear of microphone facing another), you can achieve a natural sound without the complexity of using multiple microphones.

By placing the microphone between two or more subjects (front of microphone facing one source, rear of microphone facing another), you can achieve a natural sound without the complexity of using multiple microphones. Blue Microphone Blue Microphones was founded in 1995 to improve the front-end of audio recording by utilizing the increased bandwidth benefits enabled by digital technology. Advances in digital processing (e.g. extended frequency response, dynamic range, project recording capability) fundamentally changed the recording process as well as the potential for microphone performance. Basing many of their concepts, designs, & technology on knowledge gleaned from years of repairing & improving classic microphones from a wide variety of manufacturers, but by simultaneously integrating new technologies, materials & a first-hand knowledge of today's recording process, Blue began to pioneer the perfect analog input devices for the digital age. Starting with state-of-the-art technology that ensures the purest possible signal path & Class A fully discrete circuitry with no ICs, pads, or filters, each microphone is designed to fill a specific role in a recording repertoire. Every single design contains its own propriety capsule that is h&-tested & approved to capture specific sonic signatures in specific ways. The first proprietary design, the Blueberry (Electronic Musician 2000 Editor's Choice Microphone of the Year) was designed & engineered at the behest of John Gass, a Grammy award-winning engineer/mixer, who asked Blue if it was possible to create a contemporary pop vocal mic that also substantially eliminated the need to spend hours "EQing" or over-processing the signal source. The Blueberry's success led to future Blue designs that focused solely on delivering the best possible reproduction of specific vocal or instrument types. The result is a portfolio of professional microphones that create a palette of sounds, enabling artists to realize the sonic landscape of their vision. At the turn of the millennium, after receiving an early version of Apple's software program Garage Band TM, the team at Blue realized that project studio recording presented the next revolution of the recording industry. Believing that the lack of a high-quality USB (Universal Serial Bus) microphone to protect the signal source would slow down this revolution, Blue developed the Snowball, now the 1 selling wired condenser microphone in the world. Throughout the development process, the Snowball was designed specifically with musicians in mind; however, people very quickly began to adopt the product for consumer applications, such as podcasting, chat, & narration. Out of this, Blue's line of consumer audio products was born, solidifying Blue's belief that everyone, everywhere should have access to great audio. Blue is 100% committed to getting the very best microphones in the world into the hands of those who have a passion for high quality audio; this is our heritage & will always be the core focus of everything we do. We also realize that great sound enhances every environment, & for this reason Blue has leveraged its pro-audio DNA to launch a line of products catering to life outside the studio. These include high-quality USB (Universal Serial Bus) products for both Mac & PC, iPod accessories, & an XLR-to-USB converter that allows everyone to take advantage of the quality & performance inherent in every Blue microphone on their computer. From the uncompromising & revolutionary Bottle to the HD audio/video Eyeball webcam, every single product reflects Blue's rare expertise & inimitable design sense. We encourage you to audition each Blue microphone to discover the ideal sonic character for your audio needs.
