Curved blade with precision sharpened & set reversed toothing which cuts on both the push & pull stroke. The tubular steel handle is riveted to the blade & is designed to be used with a 25 mm. (1 in.) extension pole. The blade tip is extended into a hook which prevents the blade from slipping out of the kerf during work. A striking knife is attached to the blade & handle which is used for cutting through the bark & the surface wood on the underside of the branch prior to cutting. This prevents splintering & bark stripping when the branch breaks & falls.
