French artist Edouard Benedictus (1879–1930) created beautiful albums of textile & wallpaper designs in the Art Deco style, using a simple & vibrant colour replication process called Pochoir. This rug is inspired by a detail of a plate from his 1924 portfolio, Variations, housed in the V&A’s National Art Library. Benedictus’ original illustration has been captured in a vivid palette of bold colours, & its magnified scale gives the classic floral theme a very modern twist. Rosa has been h&-crafted in India, & its rich pure wool pile will bring colour & impact to every room. Don’t forget to buy our anti-slip mat here, available in a choice of sizes.
