The Dorma Buckingham 4000 pocket features 2000 pocket springs supporting the core of the mattress & 1000 mini pocket springs at the top & bottom of the mattress to aid support & comfort, giving the mattress 4000 springs in total. Each pocket spring is individually encased in its own pocket & able to move independently enabling the mattress to adapt to your individual body shape providing you tailored support. This also means you can move about in your sleep without the whole mattress responding. Pocket sprung mattresses are designed to relieve the build-up of pressure points as the weight of your body is distributed across many different springs. Handcrafted with natural fillings, this luxurious mattress is constructed with a generous amount of comfort layers, lambswool, pashmina, cotton & a delicate blend of bamboo & alpaca fibres. The natural characteristic of the luxury fillings helps to regulate heat & keep moisture at bay, whilst the cotton-blend provides a cooling effect. Furthermore, we have added a rebound layer of hand teased wool to ensure the performance of the fibres within the mattress are prolonged. This mattress features two rows of hand side stitching, twelve air vents & dual-sided fillings for durability & longevity. Finally, both sides are finished with a cool to the touch viscose sleeping surface & a wool rosette tufted top. There are also eight padded handles, two on each side, to aid manoeuvrability.
