Stolichnaya Elit Vodka is very clean & neutral on the nose with just a whisper of toasted grain. The initial mouth feel is sumptuous & velvety, yet still light. Notes of sweet aniseed & pepper, into a long, soft, spicy finish. Developed to capitalise on the popularity of the Stolichnaya br&, this is a unique super-premium release produced from 100% grain, using a patented 'freeze-filtration' technique. The first step in Stolichnaya's reinterpretation of the process is to pass the spirit through a special silver filter upon which the vodka is frozen to -18C. During the freezing, the vodka becomes glycerine-like, & the solubility of different impurities reduces. The liquids density increases causing all the impurities to freeze against the walls of the filtration tanks. These unwanted crystalline substances are then discarded from the distillate resulting in one of the finest & smoothest vodkas on the market today.
