Roberto Cavalli has created there own wine from Tuscany Italy, it is a premium blended wine being harvested in 2008 & bottled in 2011. The weather in 2008 was quite normal with a good rainfall until the end of June. The summer was mild with temperatures that were high but never excessive, this then favoured the development of good acidity & moderate alcohol level. The harvest began at the end of August with the Merlot of the Florentine vineyards, & finished in late October, with the petit Verdot of Panzano. On the nose it is intense with a persistent aroma of wild berry fruit closely followed by powerful evolved aromas ranging from tobacco to coffee. The aroma is then complete with accents of herbal notes, this is then carried onto the palate with the wine becoming lively & rich, with well integrated, deft tannins that will age well over time & then it is finished with rich & pleasant long seductive flavours.
