Product Description

Abbot Ale honours the ancient ruins of an abbey that sits alongside the Greene King brewery in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Historically, ‘cerevisiarii' or ale brewers were employed as servants for abbots, drawing water from the chalk wells to use in beer. These chalk wells are still in use today & remain integral to the production of this fine English ale. Gold Medal winner at the 2014 Monde Selection Quality Awards.
