The Calla Lily has stunning dark purple spathes which rise up and stand between the glossy foliage. It is a half hardy perennial so can be kept indoors and outdoors depending on the time of the year. They will require a warm and bright home during the winter cold months. This would be perfect in a conservatory or windowsill. In the hotter summer months move the plant outside where it can make a beautiful statement on the patio. They can be sensitive to temperatures and ideally should be kept in a room between 12C (55F) to 18C (65F). Facing east or west would be ideal for them. During the active growing month water regularly but allow the pot to drain after. Leave the soil mostly moist. Arums will need feeding every 2 weeks until the flowers have faded. In the winter reduce the watering to keep the soil moist until new shoots appear in the soil in the Spring time.
