A new variety with really deep plum coloured, large striking flowers, making sprays of intriguing star-like blooms which are produced above a rosette of attractively cut foliage for the majority of the summer. Flowers May/ June-September. Height 50cm (20); spread 30cm (12). Supplied in a 9cm pot. Astrantias have been a valued constituent of perennial borders for generations. These exceptional plants produce a profusion of pincushion-like flowers on wiry stems. Plants are slug-resistant & drought-tolerant; flowers are attractive to bees & butterflies & will last for up to two weeks in water! Can also be dried for winter use.
