History: history: a coal carrying merchant ship operating on the coast of engl&, named the bethia, was purchased by the admiralty, renamed the bounty, & re-commissioned in 1787 for a special mission. this model is built with small pieces of wood joined together at the bottom of the ship. some places is painted, some place is used natural wood colour. We only use the highest quality woods like rosewood, ebony, blackwood, mahogany & teak; detailed as follows: ebony for buttons & small details. english sycamore, rosewood or blackwood for the hull. mahogany for the masts. cherrywood on the deck. talauma or jackwood on the deck or water line. canons, muskets, anchors & other tiny details are made from metal (for decoration). sails & rigging lines are made from linen.
