There is an extra high-density polystyrene core for insulation, enhanced impact resistance & which is 30 minutes fire-rated (certified to British Standard) making the Washington one of the only fire doors we can provide that can be made to your specific height & width. The Washington fire door can fit into any existing timber surround & has a 1mm thick, UV stable, u PVC plastic coating applied to both sides which means that the only maintenance it will need is a wipe with a damp cloth.
