This is the updated & enhanced version of the award winning POC Octal helmet. It takes all the exceptional features of the Octal; great fitting exceptional ventilation & ultra-lightweight construction with the additional safety features of MIPS.MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System what is does is simple yet very effective. A MIPS helmet has an extra layer built in that allows for a few millimetres of rotation in the event of a crash. This seemingly small movement can reduce the rotational forces from the impact & reduce the likelihood of concussive injury. The clever use of EPS foam density allows for high levels of crash protection yet maintains a featherweight build so youÂ’ll hardly notice itÂ’s there in use. The EPS liner is thicker in areas where protection is needed the most.
