Poc have worked closely with the Garmin-Sharp Pro Cycling team the Volvo car group & WATTS lab to create a compact TT helmet that cuts through the air more effectively in more positions effectively making a helmet that performs better in the real world where riders are not static & the wind direction keeps changing. Hours of work in CFD (computational fluid dynamics) & in the wind tunnel has resulted in the Cerebel with its striking looks & performance to match. The rear of the helmet is constructed from a soft molded EVA which is then covered in an aerodynamic fabric. The end result is even more comfort & even less drag. A lightweight advanced carbon shell wrapped over our patent pending aramid reinforced in-mold liner. The liner has a thin shell of polycarbonate covering the multi-impact Super EPP core. The double overlapping shell design our patented VDSAP allows a fully ventilated construction for maximum comfort without sacrificing penetration resistance or impact energy management. A generously ventilated full face helmet with an outer shell made from fiber glass. The fiber glass shell is slightly heavier than carbon fiber but on the other hand it is more durable. The liner is made from multi-impact EPP which means that the helmet withstands numerous crashes without having to be replaced as would any other EPS helmet. The open vents allow more air to flow through the helmet increasing the user comfort. So for all those fearless riders out there eating dirt this should be their choice.
