Accurate power & cadence measurement Left / right power distribution Easy installation Self-calibration Keo standard Compatible with POLAR CS500 CS600 & CS600X computers Keo Power allows experienced cyclists to improve their pedalling technique The Keo Power is compatible with the majority of bicycles on the market & very easy to move from one bike to another Calibration is done automatically when the system starts up The Keo Power possesses all the characteristics of a Keo: Stainless steel platform also creates a more stable area for the cleat apply power Larger cleat support surface Lightweight Delivered with P5 transmetters USE COMPETITION BODY INJECTED CARBON MEASUREMENT CADENCE POWER AXLE STAINLESS STEEL 17-4PH THREAD 9/16X20 BEARING 1 BALL BEARING 2 NEEDLE BEARINGS PLATFORM HEIGHT 157 MM Q-FACTOR 55 +/-0.6MM MULTITENSOR 10 TO 18 NM CLEATS KEO GRIP GREY CLEATS ANGULAR FREEDOM 0° 45° OR 9° DEPENDING ON THE CLEAT TYPE (BLACK GREY OR RED) PEDAL WEIGHT 170 GR (405GR PER PAIR WITH ACCESSORIES) COLOUR BLACK SEALING IPX7 * ACCESSORIES ONE PAIR OF GREY KEO GRIP CLEATS + HARDWARE guarantee 2 YEARS EMETTERS P5 TECHNICAL DATA WEIGHT 24 GM BATTERY TYPE CR2354 BATTERY LIFE 5 MONTHS FOR USE 3H/DAY 7/7 SEALING IPX7&8226; HISTORYMany years research have been necessary to arrive at this product. The first LOOK research on this product goes back to 1986 & the registration of a patent on power measurement in the hub. The first product marketed was the MAX ONE in 1989 a date at which twas also used on the Tour de France. Since then several laboratory products have seen the light of day with some patented before deciding 3 years ago to start the design of a product intended for the market. The result of this work is the Keo Power.&8226; PRINCIPLEEach pedal collects the power & the cadence & transfers them to transmitters that send them wirelessly to the computer.&8226; ACCURATE MEASUREMENTThe Keo Power permits very accurate measurement of the power & cadence. Each axle is equipped with 8 strain gauges permitting very accurate measurement of the axle deflection & so of the forces applied to it. The observed measurement deviations whatever the value of the force & its point of application are less than 2%. The axle electronics are designed to measure forces up to 170kg obviously the axle can support much larger forces. The cadence is measured using a reed relay placed in the body of the pedal. Through the force & cadence measurement the Keo Power is capable of giving the power. The information is then sent to the POLAR transmitter which sends it wirelessly to the meter via the WIND protocol. 8 stress gauges per axle permit force measurement with very high accuracy ( The sensors measure the deformation of the pedal axle All pedals are inspected & calibrated in production. The Keo Power has been developed so that the impact of temperature on the measurement is as low as possible. For a +/- 5°C temperature variation there is no impact. Above this the temperature can have an impact. A simple restart is sufficient to recalibrate the system.&8226; LEFT / RIGHT BALANCEBecause it measures the power on each axle the Keo Power permits an indication of the left/right power distribution as a percentage. This will allow experienced cyclists to improve their pedalling technique. Left / right power distribution in percentage: 53% of power developed on the left 47% on the right&8226; EASY TO INSTALL USE & SELF-CALIBRATIONThe Keo Power is very easy to install compatible with the majority of bicycles on the market & very easy to move from one bike to another in contrast to systems that are found in the chainset or the hub. Its fixing system is slightly different because it is necessary to orient the axle in a very specific position then tighten the locknut. The tool delivered with the pedal permits the axle to be aligned perfectly with the chainset. The Keo Power is designed to be compatible with chainsets with crank thickness less than 16 mm & length of 170 172.5 175 or 177.5 mm (Shimano SRAM Campagnolo FSA ranges etc.) Calibration is done automatically when the system starts up. The Keo power is designed to limit the impact of temperature on the gauges. Choice of crank length&8226; KEO STANDARD: EFFICIENCY REALIBILITY LIGHTNESSThe Keo Power possesses all the characteristics of a Keo. The platform surface is the same as the Keo Blade which is one of the widest currently available (62mm) guaranteeing excellent stability & efficiency. The platform height is also the same as a Keo Blade (15.2mm). Finally the Keo Power is among the lightest power measurement systems on the market with only 150g excess weight compared to a top of the range LOOK pedal that is already one of the lightest. The axle has been the subject of special attention: 3 bearings double seals. It has undergone exactly the same approval tests as the standard axles: Keo Power axles have only been approved after a 1 million cycle rotation test at 100rev/min with a load of 90kg on the centre of the pedal & eccentric rotation (which creates a shock at each turn). This test is much greater than the current standard: EN14781.&8226; COMPATIBILITYThe Keo Power is compatible with POLAR CS 500 CS 600 & CS 600X computers so permitting the benefit of all these computers that are already available on the market.CS 600X :> For competitors & professional cyclists> Very technical cardiac frequency data> Displays power cadence & L / R distribution> Indicates slopes their inclinations & measures altitude.> Delivered with Polar Pro Trainer 5 software CS 500 :> For cyclists seeking to improve their training> Fast sure control using Rocker Switch navigation> Displays the power & cadence> Indicates the inclination of the slope & measures the altitude> Compatible with www.polarpersonaltrainer.com&8226; DATA TRANSFER & ANALYSISThe transfer of data into the POLAR computers is done wirelessly using an infra-red key.&8226; NEW IN 2013: COMPLETE PACK WITH GPSThe G5 GPS receiver (weighs only 34 g) measures speed & distance & enables you to visualise your route on the new map on polarpersonaltrainer.com when you have completed your session. It will give you all your training data at each point on your itinerary.
