Poor fitting clothing is one of the largest contributing factors to aerodynamic drag. With this in mind we decided to take those seconds back starting with an aggressive fit. Without an anchor point for the jersey however material bunches at the shoulders & sleeves. & where there are wrinkles drag is soon to follow. The solution? The S-Works Evade GC Skinsuit. By creating eight different sizes we’ve created a level of fit thats akin to a custom skinsuit which equates to an elimination of bunching & its associated drag. Not stopping there we also targeted seams at the main source of seam sabotage—the shoulders. & for the first time we eliminated the shoulder seam altogether. At a mere 150 grams the S-Works EXOS are the lightest cycling shoes to ever come with a Boa dial. & not only are they ridiculously light but they still have all the features that are synonymous with the S-Works label. They’re still at that World Tour level just ridiculously light. To get the weight down to the 150-gram mark without sacrificing power transfer we implemented all the engineering bells & whistles we could think of. & when that wasn’t enough we thought up some more. The carbon outsole was developed using an advanced form of Finite Element Analysis & pressure mapping to pull out material where it wasn’t needed. This allowed us to keep crazy-high stiffness numbers too. For the uppers we completely removed the heel counter. & with a little help from the space-grade Dyneema mesh & some Cubic Tec reinforcement the heel molds to the back of your foot so nary a watt is wasted.
