Flexibility & Rigidity: High lateral flexibility ensures a soft smooth running gear shift. High torsional strength on the other hand ensures precise chain guidance onto the sprockets. Optimised Gear Change Action: To ensure accurate & safe functioning with modern sprocket systems chains must perform at extreme angles & under high tension. This requires the inner surfaces of outer chain plates to be of an extreme cut out form. Wipperman has perfected a unique way of machining this process. Low Friction: Minimising friction reduces wear & enables the chain to operate lightly & smoothly. Wipperman`s grinding & polishing processes for all the 450 components of each chain combined with appropriate surface treatments such as nickel-plating make these the lowest friction chains available.
