Neri Ame (prounounced: Neree Armay) literally means Liquid Candy. It's a classic Japanese Candy that is virtually unheard of outside Japan except among Japanese Candy Otaku. It's a comes with a pair of genuine wooden chopsticks & a tube of brightly coloured & flavoured liquid candy. You pour the whole tube of liquid candy onto the chopsticks & then pull & pull & pull the liquid candy until it starts to change colour & lighten & become fluffy & opaque, resembling the consistency of taffy. Then you roll it up onto one (or two if you are sharing!) chopsticks & eat.
