Neri Ame (prounounced: Neree Armay) literally means Liquid Candy. It's a classic Japanese Candy that is virtually unheard of outside Japan except among Japanese Candy Otaku. It's a comes with a pair of genuine wooden chopsticks and a tube of brightly coloured and flavoured liquid candy. You pour the whole tube of liquid candy onto the chopsticks and then pull and pull and pull the liquid candy until it starts to change colour and lighten and become fluffy and opaque, resembling the consistency of taffy. Then you roll it up onto one (or two if you are sharing!) chopsticks and eat.
