If you’re a compulsive Isaac Asimov reader & are mad about films such as Steven Spielberg’s ' Artificial Intelligence' & Paul Verhoeven’s ' Robocop', this is no-doubt your ideal leisure companion. Monkeybotz is specifically designed for sci-fi fans, because no science fiction fan can possibly remain indifferent to the workings of a robot. The build-a-robot kit comes with all the parts you’ll need to build a simian robot by following a simple set of instructions. Monkeybotz is a simian robot that runs in two different modes: walk or to climb, depending on what you order it to do. In "climb" mode it’ll scale around hand over h&, & in "walk" mode it’ll traipse around like a real monkey. The robot has a built-in sound sensor that reacts to the sound of clapping hands or of your voice. All you have to do is turn it on & choose the movement mode you want, & the robot will respond to any noise it senses. Plus, the detailed instructions add a certain educational dimension, since you’ll learn a lot about electronics from them. Build-a-Robot Kit The robot moves on a flat surface or propelled by a rope No soldering required In order to assemble it, you’ll need: bolt cutters, a small hammer, needle-nose pliers & a small screwdriver Sound-activated movement Runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included)
