British footwear brand Clarks Originals & C.P. Company come together to celebrate the point where nature meets the city. The collaboration is about mixing natural materials & heritage craftsmanship with a modern technology suitable to the demands of a 21st century outdoors performance. Clarks is a contemporary brand but, having been founded in 1825, its history is defined by traditional materials & iconic shapes. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Desert Trek shoe, this updated version of Clarks Originals footwear, combined with C.P. Company’s well-established dedication to functional menswear & fabric innovation, means it’s a capsule collection of future-proofed classics. The Original Desert Trek is based on the designs from 1971 with a central vamp butt seam. The original “stitch down” construction with a runner board has been upgraded with a runner board in full vegetable leather for a premium touch & more comfort. Made in Portugal, the shoe features the iconic plantation crepe sole, an upper in a premium reverse suede with a slightly oiled touch from an Italian tannery. The quarters are laminated with a black thin rubberized layer to provide structure, & the heel counter carries the classic Trek-Man debossed logo one shoe & the iconic C.P. Company sailor on the other. The Original Desert Trek comes with cotton laces with dipped & coated aiglets, extra laces in leather & three lace fobs that’s been branded & coated.- Fastening Type: Lace
