The Oracle Subledger Accounting course teaches students about the rule-based accounting engine, toolset, & repository that supports Oracle E-Business Suite modules. The course begins with an overview of Subledger Accounting key concepts & terminology, integrations with other Oracle e Business applications, accounting setups, ledgers, & multiple representations.

Students learn to use the Accounting Methods Builder (AMB) to create & modify subledger journal line setups & application accounting definitions, & review implementation considerations for setting up & using Oracle Subledger Accounting. Students learn to use the Create Accounting program & Transfer Journal Entries to General Ledger program to create & transfer journal entries to the general ledger. Students create subledger accounting entries, & learn to compare subledger journal entry information, & view subledger journal entry headers & lines. Students practice creating Manual subledger journal entries, & learn to inquire & report on subledger journal entries, accounting events, & general ledger balances, & drill down to the underlying transactions. They practice generating the Journal Entries & Open Account Balances reports. The course also covers some of the more advanced options, such as defining custom sources, setting up & copying business flows, using multiperiod accounting, defining report sequences, & using the diagnostic framework to review the journal entries created by the Subledger Accounting program.
