This module of Oracle Payroll is aimed at people implementing Oracle Payroll in UK & consists of eight submodules:

  • The Total Compensation Elements for Payroll submodule explains how to set up the elements? formulas? & balances you require to define your earnings & deductions for payroll processing. For certain aspects of the total compensation package-such as benefit plans? salaries? & accrual plans-there are additional setup steps? which are covered in other modules.
  • The Costing submodule explains how to enter costing information using Oracle HRMS. This

    Includes::
    areas such as mapping your GL & HR reporting structures so that you can allocate costs correctly? setting up the cost allocation key flexfield? & learning how to allocate costs effectively using Oracle HRMS.
  • The Salary Administration submodule explains how to administer salaries on an individual or group basis using the Salary Administration functionality.
  • The Absence Management & PTO Accrual submodule explains how to set up the rules that define methods used when you record absences? who is entitled to paid leave of each type? & how much time can be taken.
  • The Payroll Setup submodule explains the complete setup tasks involved in defining payroll for a UK enterprise. You gain an understanding of the Payroll model? setting up employee & employer tax information? & setting up third party payments.
  • The Payroll Processing submodule explains the complete setup tasks involved in processing & running a payroll for a UK enterprise. You gain an understanding of payroll processing? pre-processing? post-payroll processing? identifying exceptions? making corrections? & processing Quick Pay.
  • The Retro Pay submodule explains the Retro Pay process. You perform Retro Pay to make retrospective adjustments to employee's pay. You use this functionality to process backdated pay awards.
  • The Advance Pay submodule explains the Advance Pay process. You perform this process to pay employees in advance for holidays or other events. The process performs payroll runs for the periods to be advanced? using all date effective information in place & stores the final net figure as the amount to advance.
