In this course, students will learn about RAC database administration in the Oracle Grid Infrastructure environment. Students will learn to administer cluster databases using Enterprise Manager & comm&-line utilities like SRVCTL, CRSCTL, & SQL* Plus. Students will study the new connection architecture & how to make those connections highly available. Backup & recovery issues relative to cluster database environments will also be studied.
This course is based on Oracle Database 11g Release 2.
Learn To:
- Administer both Policy & Administrator managed RAC databases
- Install & configure 11g R2 RAC software
- Describe backup & recovery in a RAC environment
- Create & configure a RAC database.
- Use Services
- Describe Oracle Database 11g R2 RAC enhancements & new features
