Use Oracle BI Delivers to send real-time, personalized alerts to Interactive Dashboards for subscribed users.

In addition to building Interactive Dashboards, learn to configure & maintain them & how to customize their user interface using cascading style sheets, dashboard styles, & XML message files. Use Oracle BI Publisher to build reports based on Answers requests as well as Oracle BI subject areas, & use Oracle BI for Microsoft Office to integrate Oracle BI data & views in Microsoft Office presentations & spreadsheets. Finally, explore recommended design principles & best practices for presenting information in Interactive Dashboards.

Oracle BI Publisher (formerly known as XML Publisher) is a revolutionary reporting & document output management solution from Oracle. In this course participants gain expertise with Oracle BI Publisher 10g R3 (10.1.3.3) by gaining a foundation in the fundamentals, & underlying standards. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to create reports based on various data sources such as Oracle Database, Web Services, RSS feeds, & Files. Oracle BI Publisher can be used as a st&-alone reporting product or integrated with the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition, & also with Oracle BI Discoverer. So, participants will also learn about these integrations, & be able to create BI Publisher reports based on Oracle BI Server subject area, & Oracle BI Answers.

This course also teaches how to install BI Publisher Desktop (an MS-Word add-in to create report templates), how to create & publish multiple templates for the BI Publisher reports. Students will also perform various administrative tasks such as configuring the scheduler, configuring report delivery media, & setting up Excel analyzer. This course also covers advanced features of BI Publisher such as creating reports with hyperlinks, scheduling & managing scheduled reports, bursting the reports, using online & Excel analyzers to analyze the data in BI Publisher reports, & creating reports from data templates. Hands-on exercises reinforce concepts taught in class.
