This course offers a complete introduction to the implementation & use of Oracle Learning Management. Participants familiarize themselves with what decisions they must make before they implement, then learn how to perform implementation tasks such as setting up flexfields, content & conference servers, establishing catalog & content structures, & configuring options such as automatic waitlisting & integrations with other applications. Participants learn how to administer all aspects of learning management, from catalog & content hierarchies to enrollments, resource allocation, & finance. They learn how to control instructor-led classes & enrollments through a system of class & enrollment statuses. To support the delivery of online learning, participants learn to manage a content hierarchy of learning objects, including imported objects adhering to recognized specifications, & to create question banks & online tests to assess learners' knowledge & skills. They also learn how OLM uses learner & instructor competencies as well as workflow notifications.

The practice instructions supplied in the course are written for Oracle Applications Release 11i using the Vision demonstration environment. You must have access to an Oracle Application Vision database or comparable training or test instance at your site on which to complete these practices.
