This Oracle 11g Release 2 RAC & Grid Infrastructure Administration course provides an introduction to the general features & capabilities of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) within the Oracle Grid Infrastructure environment. Delegates will learn how to install, create, configure & administer a database for use with RAC within the Oracle Grid Infrastructure environment. Delegates will learn how to setup & use Automatic Storage Management (ASM), the ASM Cluster File System & Oracle Clusterware in a RAC environment.

The delegate will practise:

  • Installing & configuring Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Grid Infrastructure
  • Administering & Monitoring a RAC database using Enterprise Manager & command line tools
  • Using configuration & management tools for RAC databases
  • Administering ASM & ACFS using command line & GUI clients
  • Setting up services for workload management & application high availability
  • Backing up, restoring & recovering a RAC database
  • Creating duplicate & standby databases in a RAC Environment
  • Monitoring & tuning the performance of a RAC database
