While using the Internet, you have probably encountered various attractive & useful websites, & you may have formed your own opinions of their capabilities & limitations. However, merely using the Internet will not give you an understanding of how these sites are created. In this course, you will examine the basics of foundational web technology, learn skills that will be instrumental in creating advanced web pages, & learn how to apply the best practices of Web design to create your own web site that enhances the usability & interactivity of the web page/site, using markup languages such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), & Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

You will create & design web pages with text, graphics, & data tables. You will then link these web pages to enable navigation between these web pages. You will create advanced web pages & test their validity & you will create forms & apply advanced CSS styles. You will then perform search engine optimisation, make it accessible to users & then publish websites.
