The Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8: Configuration & Deployment course provides students with the skills necessary to install, maintain, tune, & troubleshoot the Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 (Application Server) (formerly Sun Open Net Environment [ Sun ONE] Application Server 7) in a development environment.

The ability to write programs in the Java programming language is not required. However, Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE[TM] platform) technology-based applications are deployed throughout the course to demonstrate various concepts. Students are introduced to the tools that are used to administer & deploy applications to the Application Server.
