This course is similar in content to the 5 day " Advanced Switch/ Router Configuration & Management" course (FOU0004), but concentrates on protocols that are likely to be appropriate to an Enterprise, rather than Service Provider, network. BGP is not included.
The course provides an in-depth study of layer 2 & layer 3 features of Foundry Networks switches & routers including the advanced aspects of the technologies OSPF & Spanning Tree. The course covers the theory of configuration, troubleshooting & network design using the Foundry products but concentrates on (80% of the course) providing hands-on configuration experience. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to select appropriate Foundry devices, connect, configure, & troubleshoot them in Enterprise wide advanced network designs.
