The range has been created from the Library at The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, one of the worlds foremost archives of rare & historically significant artwork. Wild Strawberries is a beautifully detailed botanical illustration of succulent, ripe strawberries, evoking long summer days, taken from the famous Polomgie Francais. Published in 1846, Pomologie Francaise is one of the worlds finest & most beautiful books on fruit ever produced. The artist, Pierre-Antoine Poiteau (1766-1854) was a french pomologist & gardener who travelled extensively throughout his life, discovering many species of plants & animals. He was a great admirer of the Redoute style & utilised the colour printing techniques he devised.
