The Store 'n' Save USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive by Verbatim offers insufficient storage capacity with USB 3.0 "SuperSpeed" interface. USB 3.0 offers up to 10 times faster data transmission rates than USB 2.0 (based on USB-bus speed) and thus enables an ultra-fast data transmission while travelling.
The Store 'n' Save drive can be placed flat on demand or on its side to take as little space on your desk. When you turn on the Store 'n' Save drive, the Verbatim drive splash screen appears * that includes links to the software, user manuals and support, which contains the directory of your hard drive. USB 3.0 is fully compatible with USB 2.0.
For additional security, "Nero BackItUp and Burn Essentials" software is also included in the delivery to provide support when backing up your laptop or your PC's hard disc. "BackItUp and Burn Essentials" offers three applications in one. With this, you can make a backup of all your files, folders or drives at all times or plan the automatic storage at a certain point of time for additional safety. Nero Express gives you the option to burn your files on CD or DVD, and with Nero RescueAgent you can restore the damaged files.
The "Nero BackItUp and Burn Essentials" software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (not compatible with Mac OS).
Moreover, the power saving software "Green Button" is also included with the Verbatim hard discs. "Green Button" stops the drive from rotating, if it is not being used. This enhances the efficiency and saves energy.
There are 3 sleep-mode options. The interrupt mode can be set after 10 minutes of use or in increments of 10 minutes to 120 minutes. In order to interrupt the rotary movement of the drive immediately, double-click on the "Green Button" icon on the desktop. Alternatively, you can set the drive to "Never Suspend the disc".
