via a Cat 5 cable. Four ports can also transfer power, based on the
IEEE802.3af standard. Advanced Auto sensing algorithms ensure that only 802.3af
terminal devices are supplied with electricity. If you interrupt an access to a connected Po E device
the GS108P automatically supplied power. Po E simplifies and
optimizes the network installation, since the connected terminal devices
are not assigned any more to the nearby power outlet. Access points, surveillance cameras and
similar equipment can be placed immediately at the optimal location.
