The DSL router DIR-100 is the ideal network solution for home & office. It allows multiple users simultaneous use of a internet access via a DSL or cable modem. The DIR-100 uses the total capacity of the Internet connection optimal, regardless of which access technology is used (ADSL / 2 +, VDSL or SDSL). The router has four 10/100 MBit/s switch ports, through which PCs, printers, file servers & other devices can be connected directly to the router, without installing a separate switch. The DIR-100 is particularly fast & easy to operate. The router automatically assigns an IP address to any connected computer & network device, so no more adjustments need to be done on the terminals. DIR-100 is configured in a few minutes via the included software Click'n' Connect. The wizard guides the user through the entire installation process & then automatically provides the connection to the Internet. In addition to the web-based configuration interface, expanded custom settings can be done. Through the clear, easy-to-understand & speaking navigation menu, the router can be set up quickly also without networking skills.
Security features, such as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) & Network Address Translation (NAT), protect the entire network against attacks from the Internet. Through DMZ, a computer in the network has full access to the Internet. It gives the complete compatibility with Internet applications, even if certain ports are not known. The integrated "child protection" offers special protection. It filters URLs, blocks certain domains & thus prevents the access to unauthorised websites. In addition, a time controlled access to the Internet can be set up.
An additional feature of the DIR-100 is the integrated gaming mode. Game consoles, such as the Xbox or Play Station, can be connected directly to the router & operated. The DIR-100 games console connects to the Internet & thus allows unlimited online games.
