NETGEARs dual-band wireless access point WAG102 will impress you
with its power spectrum. With its dual-band function it supports the
transmission frequency of 2.4 -GHz band as well as the 5-GHz b&, all this with
a data transfer rate of up to 108 MBit/s in Turbomodus. (In Germany
the Turbomodus on the 5-GHz b&, 802.11a, is not
approved, therefore, here only up to 54 MBit/s is possible.) Up to 128 wireless-
clients can be supported simultaneously in the same radio coverage area.
Since data & communication in a wireless network are sensitive, the WAG102
protects data in the most advanced & most comprehensive
safety way. Web base network management tools
make the configuration & the remote management easy & straightforward. The
Wi-Fi certification ensures the interoperability with Wi-Fi -certified products
of other manufacturers.
NETGEARs access point supports the highest available security standards: WPA2
Enterprise. This ensures the shielding all your Wireless-data transfers.
The 802.1x RADIUS server authentication controls the access to the wireless network
and centralized the user-authorisation of the complete network. The MAC address
authentication with ACL (access control list) controls the access to the
network resources. VPN pass through is of course also supported.
With the "radio frequency (RF) management" -technology, the wireless-
network can optimize itself automatically. The WAG102 with auto Cell-Intelligent selects the right
channels & automatically adjusts the transmitting power for optimum coverage & to
avoid interferences. This feature is available with a future firmware
update. The SNMP management (SNMP: Simple network management
Protocol) supports SNMP MIB I, MIB II & 802.11MIB. The console port allows a
